In the early '80s, Progressive Rock was, as we all know, at a time of great difficulty. Bands like IQ and Marillion were trying to keep it alive. But not only. Even local, independent bands were trying to do the same. For example, in Italy, TRIO. The name of the band did not show great imagination, but their music did. Prog played with violence and speed of punk.
TRIO lived only one year: 1981. They played only two concerts: on March 28 and April 13, 1981, in Saronno, near Milan, where the 3 musicians lived:
Carlino Volontè, drums
Gius Lanari, bass
Federico Fantacone, keyboards
Their repertoire, entirely instrumental, came in large part - but rearranged - by "Douglas Fairbanks", a band in which all three had played.
The songs played in those two concerts were recovered from tape recordings, and remastered.
The result - a sort of Bootleg - is on this page of Bandcamp, for collectors, curious, friends.
